LIfe after julius ceasar
Julisus Ceasar died March 15, 44 B.C. After Julisus Ceasar died, the Civil War broke
out. Also 3 men formed the 2nd Triumvirate. Who was made up of Octavian, Mark Antony, and Lespidus At first, they worked together to defeat their opposition then they fought amongst themselves. Octavian defeated Antony and Lepidus and became the first emperor of Rome. Octavian became thr new ruler of Rome. He changed his name to Augustus. He changed his name to that because it means "Exhalted One". When Augustus took Rome took a turn for the better! Augustus built a strong economy, managed a huge empire, and created a solid government. Augustus was actually the great nephew of Julius Ceasar. Over all when Augustus was ruler everything was peaceful and there were no war outbreaks or anything horrible! Augustus was actually one of the most popular rulers in history, He brought the Roman Empire to its “Golden Age” and left a great impact to civilization. Augustus lived a long life and served Rome well. When he died in AD 14 at the age of 77, he was declared a Roman god, and every emperor after him adopted the
title of Caesar.
